Group Info

OurProse is a literature group focusing on original prose. As long as it's written by you (or written though you by the voices in your head...) you should join and share your work!

Don't be afraid to polish your writing skills and join now!

If you are not so much into prose as you are into poetry, visit TheWritingObsession, where you can submit all kinds of literature (even fanfiction, for now).

Yay, another 2 weeks, another 2 prompts! Are you excited? you should be.

I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN ANY SUBMISSIONS SO COME ON GUYS. :iconhappytardplz:

Okay, here come our preshuses:

#3 - Jiggle.

#4 - "The dogs howled into the night, unaware that it was daytime, actually; but oh well, these things happen when you're so far up north."

In case you're confused, for the first one you have to write whatever passes through your mind when you see that word - fiction, non-fiction, write around it, write about someone... whatever shoots through your mind first and you deem worthy of putting it on paper.

The second is mostly the same, except your piece must contain the sentence. That is all.

I only request that you put the number of the prompt somewhere in the title of the piece and that you submit to the Prompts folder.

Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with!

You can submit anytime to any prompt as long as I know which one it is.

Is it just me, or do submissions seem just a teeny bit, um... dead, lately? :|

Hi, I was just wondering why some of my submissions were accepted and others weren't?

Hello everyone in OurProse!

I am currently offering a speed critiquing service for those who want to get professional standard feedback on their prose writing, poems, scripts at a cheap price. I've just been paid for my latest 45,000 editing/proofreading job and I'm looking for new works!

You could have your short story, the first chapter of your novel or one-act script read by the end of the day with in depth feedback on how to improve!

If you're interesting in finding out more, follow the link to my job service forum post.

Thanks =D

Hi. I read above and I can understand why you don't want to accept fanfiction. I was wondering if you would be willing to open a fanfiction folder though.

I personally write both fanfiction and original fiction, but I hope to eventually publish a book so I'm not posting any of the original stuff online. It would be too easy to plagiarize, and I've heard many publishers will not even look at original fiction that has been online. Just a thought.
